What we would tell you on the range

  • Knitted waistband. A wide elastic waistband sits high and stays flat against your skin. The internal drawstring lets you adjust the tension so the waist holds its position through full swings and long walks.
  • Secure zipper pockets. Two hand pockets and two thigh cargo pockets all close with sturdy zips. They stay flat against the leg while keeping ball markers, tees, and scorecards securely stowed.
  • Water repellent fabric. The solid khaki shell has a light water repellent finish that causes morning dew and light rain to bead up. The weave allows warm air to escape as the day heats up.
  • Wash and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang dry to preserve the water repellent finish and elastic waistband. The lightweight fabric dries quickly on a line without losing shape.

Between rounds

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
