What we would tell you on the range
- Medium weight knit. The knit has enough weight to block early wind while breathing once you start walking. Four-way stretch gives the shoulders and elbows clean room to move without pulling at the chest.
- Contrast collar build. We cut the three-button placket with a contrast interior band that supports the collar points. It stays flat against the neck instead of curling after nine holes in damp weather.
- Sleeve and hem cut. Long sleeves finish with enough give at the wrist to push up when the sun breaks through. Side slits at the lower hem keep the shirt sitting level across the belt when left untucked.
- Washing and care. Machine wash cold with like colours and tumble dry low. Take it out promptly to keep the placket flat and the solid pink knit crisp without needing an iron.

Worth doing
- Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
- Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
- Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

Worth avoiding
- Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
- An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
- Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
