What we would tell you on the range
- Four-way stretch jersey. We chose a smooth, lightweight knit with four-way stretch that gives fully across the back during a backswing. The fabric dries fast when the sun climbs and breathes easily through humid air.
- Structured self collar. The collar uses the same jersey as the body but carries enough interior support to sit clean around the neck. It buttons with a three-button placket that you can leave open without the points curling.
- Sleeve and shoulder fit. The long sleeves taper slightly toward the wrists to stay clear of your grip at address. We gave the shoulder seams extra give so the cuffs do not pull up your forearm when you reach.
- Vented hem and wash. Small side vents let the hem hang flat when worn untucked over trousers or shorts. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang dry to preserve the black print depth and keep the collar points sharp.

Worth doing
- Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
- Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
- Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

- Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
- An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
