What we would tell you on the range

  • Collarless v-neck band. We shaped the neck band to lay flat against the collarbone without rubbing. The open v-cut lets heat escape right at the chest without extra bulk from folded fabric.
  • Lightweight stretch knit. The solid light blue jersey offers four-way stretch that recovers its shape after a swing. It dries fast in high heat and keeps clear of the skin when the humidity climbs.
  • Vented high-low hem. The split hem drops slightly lower in back to stay settled over a skort waistband. Side vents allow the lower panel to shift freely when you rotate your hips.
  • Cool wash and dry. Machine wash cold with similar light colours and line dry away from direct heat. The light blue shade holds its clean tone without stubborn wrinkles or fabric stiffness.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
