Women's Hiking Cargo Shorts Zipper Pockets Soft High Waisted

We cut these shorts in solid light grey with a generous length through the leg for reliable coverage under the sun. The lightweight fabric sheds light rain and dries fast when the heat climbs. A wide elastic waistband with a drawcord sits flat without binding.

What we would tell you on the range

  • Knit waistband and cord. We build the high waistband with a soft knit elastic and an adjustable drawcord. It sits flat against the torso so it will not bunch or pinch when you bend or walk eighteen holes.
  • Four zipper pockets. Two hand pockets and two lower cargo pockets all close with low-profile zippers. They keep tees, markers, cards, and a phone secure so nothing spills out on the fairways.
  • Drying speed and water resistance. The lightweight shell has a water repellent finish that turns aside light mist and morning dew. Air moves through the weave easily, and the fabric dries quickly in humid heat.
  • Washing and fabric care. Machine wash cold with like colours and tumble dry on low heat. The light grey shell sheds wrinkles naturally if you pull it promptly from the dryer, keeping its clean matte finish.

Between rounds

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
