What we would tell you on the range

  • Collar band and neckline. The open v-neck sits flat without buttons, meeting a slight stand collar at the back. It shields the back of the neck from direct sun while staying open and light across the collarbone.
  • Fabric and stretch. We chose a lightweight knit with four-way stretch that pulls moisture off your skin and dries quickly. The solid navy yarn holds its deep shade through warm afternoons and repeated laundry cycles.
  • Curved lower hem. The hem curves gently front and back, dropping just below the waistband. You can leave it untucked over a skort without excess fabric bunching up when you address the ball.
  • Wash and care. Cold wash with like darks and hang to dry. The knit sheds creases on the line, so you can pull it straight onto a hanger and skip the iron entirely.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
