What we would tell you on the range
- Brushed fleece interior. A soft fleece lining traps warm air close to the skin without adding heavy bulk. The exterior stays smooth so wind moves across it, while the knit stretches when you turn back on a full swing.
- Mock neck and zip. The standing collar sits upright against the wind to protect your neck. A quarter-length front zip with a thin striped accent lets you vent warm air quickly as the morning warms up.
- Layering over a polo. We cut the armholes and torso with extra room so the fabric slides over a pique or jersey polo collar cleanly. The sleeves stay put at the wrists and will not bunch when you address the ball.
- Care and shape. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang dry to keep the fleece interior soft. Fasten the zipper before washing to protect the teeth and keep the mock collar holding its upright line.

Worth doing
- Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
- Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
- Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
- Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.
Worth avoiding
- Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
- An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
- Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
