We built this pullover for early tee times when the air is sharp and the wind cuts across the fairway. The knit has enough give to let you take a full turn at the top of your swing. It slips over a collared shirt without bunching at the neck.

What we would tell you on the range

Layering room. We cut the torso and sleeves with enough clearance to sit over a polo shirt without pulling across the chest. The fabric slides smoothly over collar points.
Mock collar and zip. The quarter zip lets you dump heat once the sun breaks through. Pulled all the way up, the stand collar shields your neck against a steady breeze.
Dedicated tee slot. A small woven slot on the right side keeps a couple of wooden tees handy between shots. It lies flat when empty so it never catches your swing.
Care and wash. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low or hang it on a line. The polyester knit dries fast and holds its banded cuffs and collar shape.

Worth doing

Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

Worth avoiding

Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
