We cut this quarter zip for cold mornings and gusty front nines. The lightweight polyester knit pulls over a polo without catching on the collar, and the mock neck keeps wind off your throat until the sun breaks through. We added a dedicated tee slot on the right side.

What we would tell you on the range

Mock neck and zip. The quarter zip lets you dump heat as the morning warms up. Pulled fully shut, the stand collar sits close against the wind without pinching or interfering with your chin when you address the ball.
Shoulder room. We built the shoulders with medium four way stretch so the fabric moves with a full turn. The sleeves stay put at the wrists at the top of your swing instead of sliding down your forearms.
Right side tee slot. A dedicated tee holder sits along the right side seam. It keeps a couple of pegs off the bottom of your pockets so you are not digging around between shots.
Wash and shape. Machine wash cold with similar pale tones and tumble dry on low heat. The knit resists shrinking, holds its striped pattern cleanly, and pulls straight out of the dryer ready for the bag.

Worth doing

Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

Worth avoiding

Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
