What we would tell you on the range

  • V-neck collar design. The neck opening is cut in a clean V-shape that leaves the throat clear while coming up slightly at the back for neck coverage. It lays flat without buttons to fuss with.
  • Curved lower hem. We shaped the hem with a subtle curve that rests below the waistband. It gives you solid coverage when bending over a putt or swinging through, whether tucked in or left out.
  • Set-in short sleeves. The short sleeves are cut to clear the bicep without pulling tight across the arm. That leaves your shoulders free through the full finish of your swing on warm afternoons.
  • Wash and fabric care. The light green stretch knit rinses out easily after a round. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and hang it to dry so the neckband keeps its flat shape.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
