What we would tell you on the range

  • Neckline and collar. A clean v-neck front pairs with a slight stand at the back of the neck. It lies flat without buttons, keeping air moving while giving you some coverage under direct sun.
  • Sleeve and shoulder. The short sleeves are cut to clear the arms entirely through the backswing. The knit stretches four ways, so the fabric gives across the upper back when you turn.
  • Curved lower hem. We shaped the hem with a gentle curve that drops below the waistband. It stays down when you follow through, whether you leave it out or tuck it into a skort.
  • Care and colour. Wash in cold water with similar colours and hang to dry out of direct sunlight. The solid purple knit dries fast and holds its tone without ironing.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
