Women's Hiking Cargo Shorts Zipper Pockets Soft High Waisted

We cut these shorts from a lightweight, quick-drying woven fabric treated to shed light rain and morning dew. The wide knitted waistband sits high with an internal drawstring to keep the fit steady while you walk. Four zip pockets sit flat against the leg so tees and ball markers stay put.

What we would tell you on the range

  • Knitted high waistband. The wide waistband uses a soft ribbed knit with elastic and an interior drawstring. It stays flat against the torso without binding when you bend to read a putt or mark a ball.
  • Four secure pockets. Two hand pockets and two thigh cargo pockets all close with low-profile zippers. They hold a phone, scorecard, and extra tees without bulging or spilling while you move.
  • Water repellent finish. The lightweight woven fabric sheds light moisture, light rain, and wet grass spray. It dries quickly in warm air and breathes well during long rounds in the sun.
  • Easy wash care. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and hang them to dry. The solid black fabric holds its shade and dries fast enough to pack for travel rounds.

Between rounds

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
