Women's Hiking Cargo Shorts Zipper Pockets Soft High Waisted

We cut these shorts from a lightweight, quick-drying woven fabric that repels light rain and sheds morning damp. The wide knitted waistband stays flat against the torso while you walk. In Silver Sage, the muted green-gray tone pairs easily with white or navy tops on warm days.

What we would tell you on the range

  • Knitted high waistband. The wide waistband uses a soft knit with an internal drawstring to keep the fit secure. It sits flat without pinching or bunching as you bend to read a line.
  • Four zipper pockets. We added two side pockets and two flat cargo pockets on the thighs, all secured with low-profile zippers. Tees, a scorecard, and a phone stay put while you walk the fairway.
  • Water repellent fabric. The light woven cloth dries fast and carries a water-repellent finish that fends off light spray and wet grass. Air moves through freely during warm afternoons.
  • Silver sage wash care. Wash cold with similar colors and secure all zippers before loading. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry to keep the finish and waistband elasticity in shape.

Between rounds

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
