What we would tell you on the range

  • Mock collar and zip. The standing collar stays up against a cold breeze without rubbing the neck. Pull the zip down when the morning warms up to let heat escape without taking the layer off.
  • Shoulder and sleeve room. We gave the sleeves enough stretch and ease across the shoulders so the fabric never binds at the top of your swing. The cuffs rest clean over bare wrists or golf gloves.
  • Deep teal knit. The outer knit blends dark teal yarns for a quiet melange finish. Inside, a soft striped backing feels smooth over short sleeves, holding warmth without adding heavy bulk to your bag.
  • Care and shape. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang dry out of direct sun. The knit resists shrinking and keeps its color round after round, retaining collar structure without needing an iron.

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
