What we would tell you on the range

  • Mock collar and zip. The stand collar sits close enough to cut the wind without rubbing your neck. A smooth quarter zip lets out heat once the sun breaks through, and the tagless neck stays flat against a polo collar underneath.
  • Shoulder and arm room. We patterned the long sleeves with extra give through the upper back and shoulders. You get full rotation on a full swing without the cuffs tugging back or the hem riding up your waist.
  • Side tee slot. A dedicated tee holder sits along the right seam for quick access when you step up to the box. It keeps your pockets clear and lies flat when empty so the side profile stays clean.
  • Wash and shape care. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low. The synthetic knit holds its deep navy tone, resists shrinking, and keeps its shape round after round without needing an iron.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
