What we would tell you on the range

  • Heathered stretch fabric. The melange knit blends teal tones across a smooth outer face that cuts the wind. Four-way stretch lets the arms move through a full backswing, while the inner face stays soft against a base layer.
  • Mock collar and zip. The neck is cut as a mock stand collar that sits upright under a jacket or over a folded polo collar. A zipper garage at the top keeps the pull from rubbing the neck.
  • Shoulder and hem cut. We built the shoulders with extra room for rotation. The hem hangs straight without bunching at the belt line, staying in place when you swing or bend to mark a ball.
  • Cold water wash. Machine wash cold with like colours and hang to dry or tumble on low heat. The fabric holds its shape and keeps its colour through steady weekly wash cycles without pilling.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
