We cut these black trousers from a medium-weight technical fabric that resists creasing and blocks cool wind. Side-to-side stretch gives you freedom through your swing without pulling at the waist or knees. The straight leg falls cleanly over your shoes all eighteen holes.

What we would tell you on the range
- Medium weight weave. The solid black fabric holds its shape through full rounds and long days. It breathes while stopping brisk morning air and recovers quickly from folds without needing an iron.
- Straight leg cut. We shaped the leg to run straight from thigh to hem. It clears golf shoes without bunching up, keeping a neat line whether you walk or take a cart.
- Four pocket layout. Two front slash pockets sit flat and hold tees or a phone. Two rear welt pockets secure with buttons to keep a scorecard or glove in place during play.
- Wash and care. Machine wash cold with like darks and hang dry or tumble on low heat. The weave resists wrinkles naturally, so it is ready to wear straight off the line.

Worth doing
- Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
- Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
- Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

Worth avoiding
- Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
- An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
- Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
