What we would tell you on the range

  • Medium weight stretch. The woven fabric carries enough body to resist creasing in a travel bag or car seat. Built-in lateral stretch gives your legs room when you address the ball, then springs back without bagging at the knees.
  • Pockets built for play. Two front slash pockets sit flat and stay deep enough to hold a tee or ball marker securely. In back, two welt pockets close with buttons to keep a scorecard or glove smooth against the fabric.
  • Straight leg drape. We cut the leg straight from thigh to ankle so the hem sits naturally across golf shoes. The clean lines keep the trousers looking balanced with a tucked polo and a belt.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash cold with similar shades and tumble dry on low heat. The wrinkle-resistant weave comes out ready to wear, so you rarely need to touch it with an iron before heading out.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
