What we would tell you on the range

  • Medium weight weave. The fabric carries enough weight to break a cool morning breeze while breathing well when the afternoon heats up. It resists hard creases straight out of the wash and keeps a clean line through eighteen holes.
  • Straight leg room. We tailored the leg with a straight cut that leaves room through the thigh and knee. Built-in stretch lets you crouch to read a line or finish a full hip turn without pulling across the waist.
  • Four pocket layout. Two front slash pockets sit flat against the hip for quick access. The back pockets secure with buttons to keep a scorecard or glove in place without sagging down the seat.
  • White fabric care. Wash in cold water with similar whites and tumble dry on low to preserve the bright finish. The synthetic weave dries quickly on a line and needs little to no ironing to look crisp.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
