What we would tell you on the range
- Medium weight weave. The fabric has enough body to cut the morning chill while letting air move through as the day warms. It resists wrinkles out of the wash, so the front crease stays neat with little ironing.
- Room to bend. Horizontal stretch gives ease across the seat and knees when you crouch to read a line. The straight leg falls clean over golf shoes without bunching at the ankle.
- Four pocket layout. Two front slash pockets sit flat and keep tees within reach. The two back pockets fasten with buttons to secure a scorecard or glove without bulging out the rear panel.
- Easy laundry care. Wash in cold water with similar darks and hang dry or tumble on low heat. The weave releases grass marks easily and keeps its matte gray tone after repeated cycles.

- Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
- Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
- Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

- Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
- An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
