We cut these trousers from a medium-weight stretch cloth that blocks a morning breeze and resists wrinkling through eighteen holes. The leg runs straight from the hip down to the shoe. It gives you room to crouch for a read without pulling at the waist.

What we would tell you on the range

  • Medium weight cloth. The fabric has enough weight to hang straight and hold its shape round after round. It blocks a cool wind off the fairway while letting heat out through the afternoon.
  • Cut through the leg. We tailored a classic straight fit through the seat and thighs. Built-in horizontal stretch gives you full mobility across the tee box without adding bulk or sagging at the knee.
  • Four functional pockets. Two deep front slash pockets hold tees and a ball marker without bulging. Across the back, two welt pockets close with buttons to keep a scorecard or glove flat and secure.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash cold and hang dry or tumble dry on low. The weave resists wrinkles straight out of the wash, so the navy tone and sharp crease hold up with little to no ironing.

Between rounds

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
