What we would tell you on the range

  • Four-way stretch knit. The fabric stretches in all directions so the chest and back panel do not bind when you rotate. It dries quickly in warm air and keeps the skin shielded during bright midday rounds.
  • Reinforced collar build. We stiffened the collar stand so the tips do not curl after several washes. A print lining inside the three-button placket adds structure and keeps the collar upright when left open.
  • Vented side hem. The straight hem features reinforced side slits that allow the shirt to drop clean over trousers. It stays in place tucked in and sits flat without bunching when worn loose.
  • Cold water wash. Wash on a gentle cycle with like blues and dry flat to protect the shape of the ribbing. The fabric sheds wrinkles quickly, so you can pack it straight into a travel bag.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
