What we would tell you on the range

  • Undercollar detail. A patterned contrast print lines the interior placket and collar stand. Buttoned up it stays quiet, but unbuttoning the top lets the print show without losing the collar line.
  • Four way stretch. The knit moves across all four directions. It pulls smoothly across the chest and back during a rotation, then snaps back into place so the torso does not bag out after eighteen holes.
  • Split hem construction. Reinforced side slits let the hem sit flat over shorts or trousers when worn untucked. If you prefer to tuck it in, the lower edge stays anchored through repeated swings and bends.
  • Washing and collar care. Machine wash cold with like colors and dry flat or tumble low. The three-button placket and reinforced stitching hold their shape after the wash, keeping the collar sharp without iron work.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
