What we would tell you on the range

  • Collar with interior print. The collar is reinforced to hold its shape through eighteen holes without curling at the tips. Unbuttoning the three-button placket reveals a contrast pattern printed along the inner stand.
  • Four-way stretch knit. We chose a lightweight synthetic knit that pulls moisture away from the skin and dries quickly. The four-way stretch moves with your torso during a swing without bunching up under the arms.
  • Vented side hem. The straight hem features reinforced side slits. This gives the fabric slack over the waist when left untucked and prevents the lower seams from pulling when you bend to read a putt.
  • Cold water care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar shades to keep the slate blue tone true. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry to preserve the collar edge and stretch recovery.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
