What we would tell you on the range

  • Contrast collar band. We lined the inner collar and three button placket with a subtle print. The neckband is reinforced to keep its crisp fold through eighteen holes of heat and repeat machine washes.
  • Four way stretch knit. The lightweight fabric stretches in four directions to clear your backswing without pulling across the chest. It breathes well in direct sun and dries fast when the humidity climbs.
  • Vented side hem. Small side slits allow the waist to drape flat over shorts or trousers. You can tuck the tail in or leave it loose without fabric bunching at your beltline.
  • Wash and care. Machine wash cold with like colours and hang dry to preserve the collar shape. The synthetic knit resists fading and needs no iron to look neat for your next round.

Worth doing

  • Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
  • Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
  • Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.
  • Check the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Worth avoiding

  • Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
  • An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
  • Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
