What we would tell you on the range
- Four-way stretch knit. The fabric pulls in all four directions so your shoulders turn freely at the top of a backswing. It moves sweat off the skin and dries rapidly when the sun breaks through midday clouds.
- Self-fabric collar. We reinforced the collar stand so the points sit flat against the collarbone instead of curling up after nine holes. The three-button placket lets you open the neck to vent extra heat.
- Vented lower hem. Side slits at the bottom hem keep the fabric from bunching up around the waistline when you bend. It hangs straight down the hips if you choose to wear the shirt untucked.
- Wash and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry to keep the collar edges crisp and the white background bright over time.

Worth doing
- Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
- Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
- Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

- Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
- An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
