What we would tell you on the range

Brushed fleece interior. A soft microfleece back traps body heat against the skin without adding bulk under an outer windbreaker. The outer face stays smooth and resists pilling through regular wear.
Mock neck zip. The contrast collar stands tall to shield your neck from a morning chill. Pull the quarter zip down when the sun breaks through to dump heat quickly between holes.
Fitted cuffs and hem. Trim cuffs keep the sleeves anchored at the wrists through your follow-through. The matched hem sits flat at the waist to block cool air from creeping underneath your base layer.
Cold water care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low heat. The knit dries fast on a hanger and holds its shape without losing its fleece texture.

Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
