What we would tell you on the range
- Microfleece warmth. A brushed microfleece backing traps body heat while the smooth face sheds the morning chill. The knit stretches four ways so the body moves freely through a full swing.
- Mock neck zip. The upright mock collar blocks cold air around the throat. Pull the quarter zip down when the sun breaks through to dump heat without taking the layer off.
- Cuffs and hem. Fitted cuffs keep the sleeves down at the wrists without sliding over your grip. The banded hem stays put against your trousers instead of riding up during rotation.
- Cold water wash. Wash this piece inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low or hang it flat so the fleece nap stays soft and the collar keeps its line.

- Wash it cold, inside out, with the placket buttoned so it keeps its line.
- Hang it to dry; performance jersey is usually wearable again by morning.
- Store it on a hanger with real shoulders, not folded damp in the bag.

- Fabric softener. It coats the fibre and the wicking quietly stops working.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is hard on elastane and on printed panels.
- An iron face-down on a print or a logo.
- Leaving it wadded in the trunk between weekends.
